As a child I was always slim, but I ate very unhealthily. Although I had vegetables and meat everyday, I had a constant sugar and carb craving and I would smack on gummy candies and crackers when I felt bored or snackish. The problem with that is the more sugar and carbohydrates you eat, the more your body craves the stuff! But about 6 months ago I changed my lifestyle and I couldn't be feeling healthier.
In January I started a rather famous exercise guide by Kayla Itsiness called Bikini Body Guide. If you know who I'm talking about then you know what I'm talking about when I say her abs are absolutely amazing. I have seen a change in my body and I have found physical strength I didn't even know I was capable of.
However I still felt quite unhealthy for some reason. I realised it was because of my diet. I was eating processed carbs and sugars and wasn't getting enough fruit and water in my system. I cut out carbs except for oats ( it's low GI, so it's healthy) and some air popped popcorn as an occasional treat. I was blown away because I hadn't felt bloated in weeks! Although I did eat bad foods twice ( cake at a birthday party and some gummies while I was on holiday).
I also started drinking green tea and I felt healthier and more hydrated. I never realised what a change this would make to my overall wellbeing and I am so glad I decided to take the first step to a healthy lifestyle. Although it was hard at first it's pretty easy now and you get used to the change so quickly.
I would really recommend trying a healthier excercise or food routine, especially if you sometimes feel very tired, bloated or down in the dumps.
Until next time
