Anyone who knows me personally, knows that I LOVE makeup. Obsessed. I like experimenting with lipsticks and eyeshadows but overall my daily routine is pretty much the same.
I always do a cat eye style eyeliner, usually with black liquid eyeliner (but sometimes I change it up with brown gel eyeliner from MAC [dip down]). I used to find getting my wings a challenge but since I've been doing it for almost 2 1/2 years now I find it really easy and often find people are surprised at how evenly I apply it and how sharp my wings are.
If I do wear eyeshadow I usually use my Burgundy x9 pallet from MAC and I absolutely love it. Plum eyeshadows are my favourite at the moment as well as smokey and bronzed browns, and this pallet has all of that. There are lighter and darker. Colours to transition from day to night makeup. I am really wanting the Amber x9 pallet by MAC next because it has orang bronzed browns which is perfect for the upcoming summer season.
For foundation I usually use my favourite Covergirl in a really light shade. I am super pale and my skin is very sensitive to oily makeup products. I love this foundation because it has really good coverage and still feels super light on your skin- it doesn't make you get that oily feeling on your T zone half way through the day. It's also pretty affordable at about $14 and comes in so many shades which is. Big plus if you're always in between shades like me.
For a lipstick(which I don't always wear) I usually go for a natural nude or pink. I hardly ever wear dark reds but when I do I only wear eyeliner - no shadow because it looks harsh on pale skin otherwise. My favourite lipstick at the moment is Blushed by Revlon (colour code: 420). It's a pearl texture in a medium natural pink and goes with a lot of makeup combinations. Another favourite is a really popular colour by Mac called Kinda Sexy in matte. It's a nude with a peachy undertone and goes well with plum or brown shades.
I keep the rest pretty simple- not much blush if any at all and I just shape my brows because they're quite thick already. I hardly ever contour because the count our and highlighter can again look harsh on my skin tone and it's difficult to find a contour and highlighter for such pale skin. I use a curling mascara after I use a lash curler ( curling before mascara avoids lashes ripping out).
So that's my makeup routine, trchniques and products. I hope you all enjoyed the post and maybe try a few of these products out.
Until next time
