Drum roll please. The colour of the season for this spring? Blue, more specifically, aquamarine, scuba and classic blue. Something of a beach bum/ fashionista's dream. Picture the great aquamarine ocean with a hot surfer jogging past in a scuba blue wetsuit and a cloudless classic blue sky. The beach must have been the inspiration for this year's dominant spring colour. Taking a look at the runway it seems that floral, stripy and gingham prints are a must have. It seems there are two stand out trends I have picked up just quickly scrolling through some magazines and fashion sites. Either a full colour pop outfit is in or for a more formal look, a subdued base outfit with a light, neon coat or accessory. Does that mean what I think it means? Subtle colour blocking is taking a visit back to the catwalk. I myself am not the biggest fan of colour. I wear black, white, grey and olive green and I focus more on texture and structure, but that's my STYLE. STYLE and FASHION are two very different concepts. always remember that.
In the shoe department, designers have made life a lot easier for us women. comfort equals fashoin. Chunky shoes, sandals and block heels with beautiful structure and embellishments will make you forget the pain of the usual stilettos which get busted out during fashion week in some high end city around the globe. Many of the shoes have a very (updated) 90's feel to them which even Kylie Jenner is sure to fall in love with
So, my question is: are you ready to get shopping for spring 2015?
