The 70th annual Cannes Film Festival has rolled around this week and celebrities from around the globe were dressed to the nines. This awards season has been a particularly good one in terms of amazing fashion choices on the red carpet - with A-listers taking a lot more risks; and it's definitely paying off for the famous bunch! Here are some of the best looks from this years Cannes Film Festival:
The 'it model' of the moment Bella Hadid looked breathtaking in the gorgeous Rose Gold dress by Alexandre Vauthier. A simple, yet very flattering cut which showed lots of skin in the classiest way possible. This dress basically looks like it was painted onto Bella's body and it was complimented perfectly by the huge sparkly embellishment around her neck. But let's be real, can Bella ever do any wrong when it comes to a red carpet ootd?
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan
Aishwarya served look after look at this year's Cannes red carpet, but this dress is undoubtedly the best, in fact I think this is the most beautiful ensemble I've seen yet from the film festival. The actress, model and 1994 Miss World pageant winner had a true Cinderella moment as she twirled around effortlessy in front of the cameras - and the 43 year old doesn't look a day over 25! This look will definitely go down in fashion history.
Look, here's the thing; you can never ever go wrong with Gucci. The actress took a major fashion risk with a gorgeous kimono style dress showcasing a thigh-high leg slit, and hoards of colourful, embellished tiger faces. Her unsual grey hair was also absolutely on trend and the grungy, black, block heels topped off the look perfectly. I don't think I've ever wanted a dress in my own closet more in my life!
Elle Fanning has for a long time been a fan od Dior dresses on the red carpet - and she seems to get it so right every time! The beautiful, pale base grey base colour of the dress complimented her fair skin effortlessly. She kept her makeup simple: a classic cat eye, groomed brows, and softly tinted pink lips and cheeks.
Selma hit the mark twice this year when it came to fashion. Her pink wig contrasted beautifully with her black tule dress and she looked almost otherworldly - like a grungy fairy princess, but in a totally good way! Her blue Gucci dress was also a winner with its classic cut and embellished print - it seems the actress really branched out with colour this year!
Until next time
