Next year I will (hopefully) be in university, and with this comes more freedom to travel with friends during holidays. I have had an immense wanderlust since I was very small, and over the years I have realised that travel can make other hobbies of mine - like art, blogging, fashion and photography - so much more wonderful. Here is a list of where I can see myself visiting in the future:
I have been to Australia a couple of times - once in 2002 and once in 2014, but with the possibility of my family and I to travel down under to visit cousins and explore the country again I had to add this to my wish list. Australia is one of my favourite countries, and the people there are very friendly and welcoming. In 2014 I only ever stayed in Sydney, but already there was a melting pot of cultural diversity. My wish for my next journey there is to explore outside of Sydney, to further regions including the blue mountains, outback and great barrier reef. Whether I'll achieve all my aims on my next trip is not certain, but that's just another reason to keep me coming back to this gorgeous paradise. I would love to explore Tasmania and New Zealand one day too, but that I'll save for another time.
This is definitely one of my bucket list items. I have wanted to see the Northern Lights since I can remember. I would love to do a backpacking trip through part of the country and hike through the icy mountains. Staying in a local village would be an amazing experience and this is something I would love to do with a group of friends who wouldn't mind being off of social media for a week or two. A trip like this would also be an unforgettable photography experience. Dog sledding would also have to be a part of the experience, of course and I think the trip would be refreshing and leave me awe-struck.
The architecture in Greece is right up my alley, and I have a love for Greek style food. I am a total sucker for a summery, seaside vacation and exploring winding roads and hidden beaches. The Greek are known for being friendly and lively, and I think this would be the perfect destination to meet new people and develop cross continental friendships. The crystal blue ocean and matching rooftops would make Santorini the first place I would want to visit and I think this gorgeous country would be perfect for photography opportunities, especially since the surroundings are fresh and bright.
This is a country I have been wanting to experience for ages! This country would st my heart on fire as a foodie and fashion capital of the world. I would love to be there during a quiet season, as then the attractions are way more accessible. As well as exploring Paris, I'd like to tour the small towns and go on a wine and cheese experience through the vineyard and farm regions of this beautiful European nation.
Another long time desire of mine. I love Italian food, so this would be a blow-worthy experience. I would like to see big attractions like the Roman Colosseum, the canals in Venice, and the leaning tower of Pizza; but would also love to travel to smaller towns in more rural areas, and to experience Tuscany would be high on my wish list of musts.
I would love a hiking and fishing experience in this gorgeous country, and the views and exquisite for photographic opportunities. I would love to do a cruise experience with a smaller boat along the waterways to experience the raw beauty of the surrounding areas. Staying in a coastal village for a while would let me have an insight to experience local life in this country, which I would love to learn about.
One of the things I have promised myself I will experience in my life is to go see Machu Picchu in person. This country has so much rich history and the culture is so different to my own, which would make a journey here a wonderful learning experience. Another trip I would consider making an active one- hiking through the rural parts of the country with a tour group would be ideal to experience local life and customs.
This would be a perfect winter holiday, and I would probably stay at a ski lodge if I were to go there. I am terrible at coordination and would probably suck at skiing or snowboarding, but I'd love to experience the snow sports first hand with a big group of friends. Hot chocolate, big puffy jackets and beautiful mountains - what more could you ask for? The Alps have always been a bucket list item for me since I watched the series Heidi in my childhood, and the rural mountainous villages are exactly where I would want to be.
I would love to travel to Pukhet in Thailand, and go on a kayaking trip and laze around on the white beaches. Known to be a perfect hub to draw photographers, this beautiful serene place would be perfect for me. The rich culture would broaden my knowledge of the world and I always love learning the different ways of life people live around the world. This is also a great place for water sports which I wouldn't say no to trying.
Back in 2013, my dad went on a team building trip with his business to Mount Kilimanjaro (the highest mountain in Africa), and since then I have wanted to climb the mountain myself. From what he told me the locals are very friendly, and from living in Africa I know that the culutures are amazing and the people are generous and jolly. I think I would probably want to stay at a game reserve as well. I would have to buy something with Tanzanite in it - even if it's just a stone, and to a ring as this is the only place in the world this precious gem is found.
I hope you enjoyed reading.
Until the next post
